South Florida Jazz Orchestra with Nicole Henry

It's all about romance and the Big Band sound when the South Florida Jazz Orchestra brings their swinging ways to the Tina Hilla Pavilion on Friday, February 12, 2010.  The orchestra is an amazingly tight ensemble with bouncy swing and big jazz sounds - a musical treat for the ear and a dance treat for the "swinger" in you.  Miami's own Nicole Henry joins the orchestra for a little romance from the Great American Song book.  Her sound described as 'sensual and romantic,' is a perfect accompaniment for a glass of wine under the stars.

The DWNTWN Miami Concert Series is back! After a successful first season and being named Best Concert Series in New Times Best of Miami 2009 issue we are ready to get started on Season 2. Once again presented by the Miami Downtown Development Authority and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. Performances will run from October 2009 through April 2010 (excluding December). Concerts are the second Friday of every month at Tina Hills Pavilion at Bayfront Park, 301 N. Biscayne Blvd. The shows start at 5:30 pm! Come out and enjoy a free show with some great local and national musicians!

As always the show is a sunset happy hour and food and drinks are available.
