Beautification

BeautificationWorking hand-in-hand with the City of Miami, Miami-Dade County, and the Bayfront Park Trust, we inventoried public spaces that could use an overhaul or transform into mini-parks.  One of these spaces is Paul Walker Park on Flagler Street, which received a major makeover, going from vacant building to park space.  Others existing mini parks were embellished with new trees, plants, benches and walkways to improve usability and establish active spaces for all to enjoy.

Along Biscayne Boulevard, plans are underway to plant and enhance the work of the late Roberto Burle Marx, internationally acclaimed Brazilian landscape architect.  His work is iconic.  Visitors and residents alike can appreciate his vision now that the Biscayne Boulevard sidewalk project has been completed, beginning at the south end of Bayfront Park and terminating in the north at the Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center.

Our beautification efforts look at every area in Downtown. Sometimes small isolated spots of government and institutionally owned land get overlooked, Miami DDA's "Neglected Corners" program cleans-up and greens-up these areas.  Making our Downtown a better place to be every day.
